I am a qualified accountant with experience in a wide range of management roles in industry and commerce, including running and assisting small businesses.
I have been involved with the Green Party for several years, campaigning and sitting on those committees where my financial expertise can be beneficial.
Outside of politics I have been active in local writing and athletics organisations.
Apart from representing the people of Thorpe Hamlet ward, I am also particularly interested in the local economy, and in ensuring we get the best financial deal from the government for the people of Norwich and Norfolk during these difficult economic times.
I feel that wherever possible we should maintain essential public services and ensure our society is not permanently damaged when we finally emerge from the financial crisis. This will be a difficult balancing act, but I feel the Green Party has a dedicated group of councillors at both city and county level, and unlike other parties does not take only a short-term view in its decision-making.
Your Green Councillors hold regular advice surgeries. Please come along to meet us and discuss local issues or problems:
First Tuesday of each month, 5 to 6pm: Inner Space, Maude Gray Court, St Benedicts Street.
First Wednesday of each month, 6 to 7pm: Belvedere Centre, Belvoir Street
