Sandra was first elected as a councillor in 2014. Her priorities have been to make local neighbourhoods cleaner and safer, tackling anti-social behaviour, drug dealing and fly-tipping, while improving parks and air quality and standing up for the environment. She also wants to see a good public transport system and cycling network, as well as enough affordable housing for Norwich residents.
In her mid-thirties, Sandra is the mother of two young boys and teaches psychology at the Open University. She likes to spend her free time with her family enjoying the parks and events that Norwich has to offer.
Sandra says "I know how much residents care about their area and I want to help them get the changes they want to see. Having been a councillor in the past, I know how the council works and how to get things done. I can help people navigate the sometimes confusing and frustrating council systems. So many good things can be achieved when councillors stand up for their communities."
