Norwich Green Party will host a talk by Tom Lines from Make Votes Matter, an organisation which campaigns for Proportional Representation in parliamentary elections. Tom will be talking about why Proportional Representation is so badly needed and how the Make Votes Matter campaign is progressing.
Tom Lines has been a supporter of electoral reform for well over forty years and a member of the Green Party for more than twenty. He was a Green parliamentary candidate in 2005. He has also lived and worked in several other parts of Europe, including at the European Parliament, and has observed the advantages that other countries gain from having more responsive and less confrontational electoral systems. After the 2019 general election, he joined MVM, which is a decentralised grass-roots organisation, campaigning for electoral reform.
