By-election wins for Greens

The Greens have won a City council by-election in Mancroft Ward. Ian Stutely, who previously stood for Labour, defected to the Greens in large part over the party’s change in direction, especially their indefensible inaction over the ongoing genocide in Gaza.
Serene Shibli joins the Norfolk County council Green group also for Mancroft ward, winning a by-election there. She has campaigned fiercely to support the homeless in Norwich.
Jenny Knight is elected to City Council in the NR3 ward of Sewell. She has experience as a dedicated dementia care worker, and has organised numerous community events to tackle the rise in flytipping and litter around the city.
