The Green Party is ahead of other political parties in Norwich in the race to name General Election candidates for the surprise election in June. As some other parties are looking around for names to put on the ballot paper, the Greens have announced a number of candidates in local constituencies:
Norwich South – Richard Bearman
Norwich North – Adrian Holmes
Broadland – Andrew Boswell
South Norfolk – Catherine Rowett
Richard Bearman, the Green Party’s Norwich South candidate, remarked on the “surprising timing” of the General Election, as it follows swiftly on from County Council elections on 4th May, for which the Greens are currently campaigning. However, he added that “the Greens will be strong on environmental protection”.
The Green Party is currently campaigning to improve air quality in Norwich and campaigned to remain in the EU.
