Event: I Voted Green… Now What?

12 July 2019

UK politics is at a crossroads. The climate emergency, Brexit and the far right, rising inequality…we are facing a daunting array of challenges and it can feel pretty grim. But thanks to the thousands of voters who gave us their vote, there are Greens making a difference on Norwich City Council, and the Eastern region has its first ever Green MEP, Catherine Rowett.

But democracy isn’t just about voting. To win, we must work together for change – on the streets, in our neighbourhoods, in the council chamber, in Brussels and at Westminster. Whether you’ve just joined the party or are yet to take the plunge, now’s the time to get involved. The stakes have never been higher.

Join us on Saturday 3rd August at Anteros Arts Foundation to discuss how the Green Party in Norwich can move up a gear, reach more parts of the city and build a local response to the multiple crises facing us all.

Register here to secure your place.

We will hear from Catherine Rowett MEP about the role of Greens in the European Parliament, and some of our Norwich city councillors will talk about how their work is making a difference locally – and why we need more of them!

There will be plenty of opportunity for questions, followed by a choice of sessions discussing local issues and how we can get more Greens elected. Tea and coffee will be provided, with party activists on hand to answer questions and chat about how you can be part of the Green surge.

Don’t forget to tell us you’re coming by registering here. See you on the 3rd!
